01 /Garage and industrial doors
Applicable standards — garage and industrial doors
EN 12453
Safety in use
Maximum dynamic force 400 N, static 150 N. Requires anti-crushing devices (photocells, sensitive edges).
EN 12604
Mechanical requirements
Component strength, spring reliability, protection against fall in case of cable or spring failure.
EN 12978
Safety devices
Sensitive edges, safety edges and other sensor devices for motorised closures.
02 /Doors and locksmithing
Applicable standards — doors and locksmithing
EN 14351-1
External pedestrian doors and windows
Performance requirements: air tightness, watertightness, wind resistance, thermal insulation.
A2P BP1 / BP2 / BP3
Anti-intrusion certification
Issued by the CNPP (France) and recognised in Luxembourg. BP1 resists 5 min, BP2 10 min, BP3 15 min against tool-based break-in.
EN 1303
Lock cylinders
Classification according to break-in resistance, corrosion resistance and mechanical endurance (number of cycles).
EN 1627
Resistance to intrusion
Resistance classes RC1 to RC6. RC2 is the residential standard, RC3 reinforced.

Applicable standards — windows and glazing
EN 14351-1
Windows and French windows
AEV (Air, Water, Wind) classification and Uw coefficient. In Luxembourg, Uw ≤ 1.3 W/m²K is recommended for renovation.
EN 1279
Insulating glazing
Perimeter sealing, durability, thermal performance (Ug). Double glazing 4/16/4 argon = standard Ug 1.1 W/m²K.
EN 12150
Tempered glass
Thermally treated safety glass, 5× stronger than standard glass. Mandatory for certain applications (showers, etc.).
EN 14449
Laminated glass
Safety glass with a PVB interlayer. In case of breakage, the glass remains bonded to the film — ideal as ground-floor anti-intrusion.

Applicable standards — shutters, awnings and external venetian blinds
EN 13659
Roller shutters
Performance, mechanical and acoustic resistance of exterior roller shutters.
EN 13561
External blinds
Classification of wind resistance, watertightness, performance of awnings and external venetian blinds.
EN 14201
Resistance to wind load
Classes 0 to 6. Classes 2–3 are recommended for the Luxembourg climate.

Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
Covers all motorised closures. Requires compliance with safety devices (photocells, sensitive edges, manual release).

CE marking
Mandatory for any closure placed on the European market. Certifies compliance with the applicable harmonised standards.
